Hi, all, I wanted to study abroad all the time when I was at college. Now I have a stable and fine job that I regarded as a one of companies that I would join if I could gain overseas study experience. However, I often feel puzzled recently, and I have no clue whether I should stick to my original plan to apply MBA. Could u guys kindly provide your reasons when u decided to leave the stable work and life. I'll appreciate it very much. Thank you
Do you think VP in Citigroup China Head Office or middle mgm in IBM/GE China is a good job? Probably if you graduate from a top school, you won't consider these options even if the annual pay in China exceeds USD100K. People's vision will be changed if you can jump out of your current circle.
I graduated for one year and don't have enough financial support now. I'm a girl at the age that begins to face a lot of reality things, feeling very puzzled about my next step of life. All of a sudden, I even lost the clue to live what kind of life that I want to live. It's a little embarrassed to show all my bewilderment. Hopefully can get ur opinions.Do you think it's worth for me to take the risk?
1 year experience is not enough for top MBA, and may not be long enough for you to make a decision. Why don't you do more research, know more people, and make decision 1 year later?
But whatever decision you make, you must make sure that you do your current job very professionally, which is more important than any choice you make. - I mean, without achievement in your career, any decision you make may only be a day dream.
BTW, do u think two yrs is enough, or it's better for me to have more than 5 yrs experience, which may make me more qualified for MBA. When should I start the preparation things. e.g. exams, essays, etc, before the decision, or there's still time after the decision to handle all these detailed things?
Five years is not going to be an advantage if you accomplish as much as an average person does in five years. Two years is not going to be a disadvantage if you accomplish more than what an average person does in five years.
