我的第一篇托福作文，一直都是自己准备的，请诸大牛帮忙看一下这篇作文大概能打多少分也好心里有个底，另外还想请对篇章结构和每段的字数安排上提一下建议。谢谢了！ 就是建工厂那篇 Recently,there has been a public discussion about whether a factory should be built in our community .Some people believe that establishing a factory are stupid as it may pollute our environment.Contrary to it was the opinion that a factory is necessary to our neighbourhood.I vote for the second choice for two reasons:it can contribute to rapid economic growth and people will feel more convenient at the same time. Basic to the rise in economy is building up factories.Oursociety abounds with such cases,like the example of Tiny Dagang that has caused a heated argue.Tiny Dagang used to be a poor village where people lived in small cabins and had only one meal a day,It is so needy that a lot of local young men went out to make a living.After a soap factory had been constructed,however,a great number of people went there to find a job including many people that came back to obtain more money.Several years later Ting Dagang became a large town where peop;e lead a happy life there.Why did these enormous changes happen?Perhaps the primary reason is that people use the money obtained from the sale of soap to better their life and to enlarge the factory thus acquire more money through it.In this way,the more money peop;e got,the more they use to change their life and their community.So,it is clear that a factory can do a lot of good to local economy largely. Maching in are various kinds of shops a factory brings about that can give to peopl'life.A recent study conducted by experts reveals that about fifty pencent of shopa are near a factory compared to less than forty percent of shich that are not far from shere people live.This fact may result from workers' need to buy different commodities,and it can absolutely increase ofher people's life.The situation is not rare,it is just one of many examples I have encountered.Because of the shops derived from a factory,the quality of people'life becomes better. Despite the two reasons cited above,some people are opposed to it,and they hold the belief that it sill ruin the environment.In this way,we will lose more than we can gain from the factory.They may be right about it,but they seem to fail to mention the fact that a series of steps will be taken to prevent the area from polluted and the steps will decrease the harm to minimum. From what has been discussed above,we may safely reach the conclution that it is necessary to build a factory in our community,although it has some drawbacks itself. |
