I was dinged by NYU last week. Today one of my friends in US now told me that the reason is NYU have offered one applicant who shares the same background and comes from the same firm with me.

Hi Katrina,

It's really paid-off, because NYU is my first application school and I have limited time and no experience to prepare essays.

From the insider, NYU only offer a few interview invitations, so, if you got it, you have much possibility to get offer finally.

I was dinged without an interview invitation, and I am working in Beijing. I also know some guys were dinged too and some guys got waitlist without interview in the first round.
