where once是一个词组，相当于一个连词，好像是“虽然“的意思，有点忘了，呵呵，不好意思。
不过，这不是这道题目的关键，因为5个选项都是where once开头，我们没必要去管where是什么作用，就把它当作正确的，看别的问题。b中it应该是its，否则不知所云，而且时态不对；c有难度，问题在in support of 修饰对象不清，介词短语倾向于修饰离他最近的名词——member；d的时态有问题；e何a比较，冗长累赘，而且in its support of没有by supporting那样明显的修饰谓语，所以a好
这道题目挺难的，因为我觉得里面有三个选项牵涉到修饰的问题，属于effective的错误，不知道大牛们有没有好的思路
