背景：大龄（31），北航本科（理工类）。IT行业sales背景，中间自己开公司1年多，后因资金运转问题停掉。现供职一家top20的公司4yrs+（不是manager）。目前正在准备T/G，申请2008年，target 是top15。

到这个年龄了，已经不能再拖了，一直都有出去读MBA的想法，只不过各种原因拖到了现在。看着自己的老板10yrs+，老板的老板12yrs+的工龄，也更加坚定了出去的决心。

一直在考虑通过MBA  switch 到finance，career goal 是 VC，PE。但最近从圈里的朋友得到的feedback是我这样的背景即使读完了top school的MBA，也很难找到finance方向的工作。请教各位大牛及已经走过来的DX们，情况是这样的么，有什么建议？

我想坛子里应该有不少跟我背景类似的XDJM，希望能讨论一下。

VC and PE should be your long term goal. The job market for VC/PE is very small. Even if you get into the top 3 schools, you might not be able to land a job there. This was what I learned in the past week.I talked to several people who are in top MBA programs since I have similar thoughts as yours. You'd better pursue project management/consulting first. But nothing is impossible. I know one example who is M.D./MBA and found a VC position last year. So good luck to both of us!
