3) 可,D 怎么解释没有用(NOT UNTIL 所指出的)完成时态的呢?

4) A错在那里呢? IT 能清楚表明指代STATE(因为后面的ITS), THAT 引导定语从句修饰THE RIGHT, 并且是用了很好过去完成时态.

The action "question" happened at the same time with the Enlightenment, so it should not use past perfect tense. My understanding is:

Till ... : use perfect tense
Not until ... : use simple past tense
