Some people think that homework is a burden for children, while others think assignment is necessary for students. When it comes to me, I do hold the point that homework is necessary for children. My arguments for this point are listed as follows.
Firstly, an assignment is more interesting if a child really devoted himself or herself into it. For example, a teacher might ask you to write a report about how to dissect a frog. If a child did want to make his or her report vivid, he or she will surely dissect a frog; thus he or she could get the first-hand knowledge and experience. Also while dissecting the frog, the child might have some fun.
In addition, homework could help children memorize what they learned in class more concrete. According to a survey, man tend to forgot things if they are not represented in front of him for about three days. For example, homework may be like this, "recite the poem on page 28". What a teacher wants is that the children would bear this elegant poem in their mind, so that maybe someday they could use it. Therefore, homework is a method of repeating knowledge, which makes what a child learned more durable.
Last but not least, homework really helps children to prepare their quizzes and final examinations. Every student around the world might have experienced both of what is mentioned above. And when you encounter these tests, you will never feel scared if you have your homework done. Because while doing homework you have already learned a lot about what is important in these tests. Therefore you will surely get a high score.
In short, we students do need homework. It provides us a variety of benefits. If a student do not do his home work, how could he know the beauty of the world, how could he use what he learned into practices, how could he get a better score so that result in a scholarship? Thus let us do our homeowrks. |
