Many parts of the world are losing important natural resources, such as forests, animals, or clean water. Choose one resource that is disappearing and explain why it needs to be saved. Forests need care. By Alex In this highly developed but overindustrialized society, perhaps humans are on the most critical point--- on the verge of controlling the world and on the edge of devastating it. When righteous people see the latter scenes, they give rise to a worldwide protection to our environment. Among all the troubles, I believe that forests are disappearing and need to be saved the most because they give us oxygen and protect us from harsh process. Out of fortune or necessity, our beloved home planet established the forests millions of years earlier before humans, before Ice Age, and before Jurassic or Dinosaur Age, and humans began within it. For ancient people, they are home and shelters against danger, and for modern people and all the living beings, they are giant perfected air-refreshing machines that yield oxygen for us. Oxygen’s significance is undoubtedly. If no oxygen exists in air, carbon dioxide will dominate our atmosphere, and our planet will become another Venus--- with barren plains and angry volcanoes on the surface and without water, without creatures and no mention humankind. In short, all the creatures are given first living resources from forests.
In addition, humans’ reliance on timber is as old as humankind itself and it is forests that provide us with such sources. Today, even though almost a forth of earth surface is facing desertification, some people are still cutting down our trees in forests, which will accelerate the rate of that process. Scientists have done many researches, and the outcomes show that if lacking trees, the region might face that process. We can easily imagine that rainforests in Brazil and pine forests in Russia will never be confronted with that process. In contrast, it is readily conceivable that already-desertified or semi-desertified places will be covered by sands and dunes. To be brief, forests set us out of danger.
To sum up, forests are definitely important to our humans and people must stop destroying forests. To leave a better world for our children, let us take action to protect our forests.
