What is your definition of success??

if you meant a career success, I think all the elements are important, but not as nearly important as being in the right place at the right time with the right people doing the right thing. (tian shi, di li, ren he, aka "luck"!)

其实这个投票有一个tricky的地方，就是每个人对成功的定义不同，答案也就不同。Share my 2 cents here.

成功可以分为人为事两个层面。为人成功为事不成功是大众眼中的小成（其实不同意），为人不成功为事成功是大众眼中的大成（其实也不同意），两个都成功才是我们追求的真正的成功（这才是我想说的，呵呵）。要想为人成功，长期来看让人崇敬的道德是必不可少的。要想为事成功，其实需要很多方面的因素。但是我想最基本的是够聪明，够自信，有追求。其他的各种能力和人际关系都是有了以上的几个要素之后可以自己去发展和建立的。最后还差一个机遇，就好像火烧赤壁时候的东风，要万事俱备之后，才能发挥作用。

Regarding the career success, I still think "luck" is hte most important.

Becasue luck is the only thing that is out of our control. Many people possess many of those attributes, but they might never get what they want or what they deserve.

Regarding the personal success, I think your attitude is the most imporant factor, though luck still counts.

It takes a lot of luck to meet your best friends, to have everyone around you healthy, to not to hate your job, to fall in love with the right person, to have the cutest kids in the world and watch them to grow, and to die without any pains.

So GOOD LUCK to every one!!!
