D，the可能指不是他的arm。

A，1，have sth done固定搭配，being多余，同时have sth done有主动请别人做的意思，逻辑含义错。

再问NN:   Choice B is awkward and changes the meaning of the original statement: the point is that Pippin's method of painting arose because of, not in spite of, his injury. ??

1. 是不是ETS认为因果关系更好, 但E也没有体现因果关系呀?,

arm后省略了which were?

2. 总觉得读起来应该是转折关系更好,尽管他受伤了, 但仍然通过...工作,唉, 中国人的习惯思维, 总喜欢这样表扬模范. 还有没有其它类似的例子,与中国人的思维不怎么一致的?

pumpkin的思路很清晰，不过，我有一些不同的意见，提出来接受批评。

1、因果还是转折。从句子的意思上，没办法读出来；可能因为我语感不太好。但从本句来看：

1）虽然右手断了，他还是用右手握笔，左手指挥；此为转折

2）因为右手断了，他用右手握笔，左手指挥；此为因果

2、独立主格。作用是修主语。

前面好像记得有一个朋友提出来把E答案的修改意，我找不到这个贴子了。

1）其中的His改成The 行不行？得到回答：不能改为 the，改了就不知道是谁的手。

2）再问，His改为with行不行？回答：改为With应该可以的。

我个人认为，以上改为with是可以，只是改前，his是用来修主语；而with短语应该是作为整个句子的伴随。

请其他NN批评！

959的A选项难道不是和330的E选项如出一辙吗？为什么330可以直接用n.+过去分词的独立主格结构，而959就不能直接用n.+n.的独立主格结构呢？

顶顶, 同问, 难道ETS认为 同为独立主格, with + N +N 的形式比 N+N 的形式要好嘛?

这里的人跟手有很明显的所属关系－－他的手跟胳膊，或者His right hand and arm 前面加个with就更清楚，不加也挺明白，而
