Ask Cornell Evaluation form...

Non-native English speaking evaluators who choose to write the letter in

their native language and then have it translated into English must use this

option. In these cases, evaluators must submit a signed evaluation written in

the native language along with the official translation also signed by the

evaluator.

这段是说推荐人不是用英文写 一定要请人翻译并签名

official translation是指公证人签名 或经过公证吗?

可以由推荐人所认识的会英文的同事签名吗?

谢谢指点~

Is it not possible to have some one translate the letter and ask you recommender to sign it?

In this case, no need to submit the Chinese version.

Personally, I don't think a notarized copy is needed. Probably ask a
third person who has the capability to translate it and then ask this
third person and your recommender to sign it. Your recommender to sign
on the translated one to show he/she trust the tranlator...

Good luck. Hope someone has similar cases will give you a better answer.
