Fewer和less只有less可以直接放在than前面。所以所有的few than的选项错。fficeffice" />

Less than 是一个副词词组。

D错：the number is less than one-quarter the amount， number less than amount？

只有A找不到错误。

其实这题我也是在A和C之间犹豫。关键在于这个less than 可以修饰population, sales, dollars 等等。fewer than 是有的，虽然不是很多。

这个fewer than one-quarter of that number 看着让人觉得不塌实。

有没有人有比较肯定的解释？
