今天收到了UT Austin McCombs MSF的录取，带$15000的奖～应该大概率会要去！McCombs也是我申请季最想去的一所学校了，cohort size小，career service好，课程扎实是stem，学校在德州金融业的就业和校友资源也是碾压级别的。
虽然我知道McCombs的MSF每届都只有寥寥个位数的国际生，但是还是想问一问cd上有没有同这一届录取msf/往届msf/同一届其他项目的朋友们！欢迎来加微信！虽然楼主是美本，但是之前没有去过德州，也希望能多多认识一些austin的学长学姐们～
附申请timeline, 自己大致背景以及面经给大家参考
申请timeline：
1/28 压国际生申请ddl提交申请
2/19 invitation to interview
2/25 interview with Joe Hahn (msf program director)
3/30 admission with $15000
背景：
top 20美本, 专业econ+stats, GRE 332, 国内实习*2 + 美国实习*2 都是金融相关
录: UT, Fordham, JHU; waitlist: WUSTL C track; rej: USC; 还没出: BC
2/25面试：
美西时间中午十二点skype面试，总时长31m31s
面试大概的一些内容
1. chatting and going through interview objectives;
2. why master in finance, why McCombs MSF, how did I find McCombs MSF? (在why mccombs msf里讲了很多，包括自己读msf就是为了在美国找工作，并且提到了很多官网上有的一些小细节 >> 讲完之后也很合Joe的口味，他当时的feedback就说看到了我跟这个program很好的fit)
3. you had a lot of experience serving clients and interacting with them, but how do you feel about doing financial modelling and more quantitative stuff? (我说finance的每个环节我都觉得很interesting并且很重要，作为stats major我也很乐于学习和应用比如financial modelling这些稍微quant一点的东西 >> 他回应that's great, cuz our curriculum focus a lot on them and with your undergrad background you should be fine)
4. investment banking (which is我最想做的） is hard to get into since they tend to hire from their interns and the program is a 1-year program so you don't get the opportunity to intern with them first. do you have any backup plan? （of course! the Big Four have great transactional service teams which I'm also interested + McCombs has solid relationship with the Big Four)
5. do you have any questions for me?
(1. want to hear from your perspective about career service >> you'll have two mentors + career coach + employers relationship + advisory board etc.; 2. what was the employment outcome for this year's msf graduates, especially international students? >> 4 out of 6 international students have taken offers; 3. what's the decision process? why so little international students in the program (10%)? >> two thirds of the space has been filled, there'll hold internal meeting every other week to decide which candidates they want to move forward with（他还主动提到给奖学金一般是根据你的credentials，尤其是标化成绩有多高来决定的）; want the most qualified international students and want them to immerse into the American culture/environment, it doesn't make sense to have 90% of international students if they came to the US for higher education)
6. what other schools did you also apply to? (USC, WUSTL, BC, Fordham, JHU >> feedback: among those USC is the best and it's the program that we compete with)
7. do you have a deadline to meet?
