Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

    Some people say that parents are the best teachers. I think that is because their parents must be knowledgeable, sociable and the relationship between them and their parents are very smooth and honey. But I would like say that not all the parents can be the best teachers.

    Firstly, most parents grew in the old times and didn’t receive good educations. Some of them even are illiterate. When we met problems during studying, what we can do is asking help from teacher, books or friends. I don’t think parents can give us any suggestions during that time.

    Secondly, parents do not have much time with us. Parents need to work on the daytime and do housework after work. They also need a good rest after finishing all the housework everyday. They seldom have much time with our studying.

    Finally, parents have different outlook of world with us due to the different growing environments. For example, we youth like to make different friends, boys or girls, black or whites and to know more people. But parents think that would be too dangerous.  arents like stability. They would like to work in one company for all their lives.  We youth like to change jobs often.

    All in all, some parents may be their children’s best teachers but not all the parents can be.
