GWD30-Q16 stupid问题3

Researchers are using computer images to help surgeons plan difficult operations and to develop programs that will work for doctors and nurses in the same way that flight simulators do for pilots, letting medical personnel practice their techniques and test their reflexes before they ever see a patient.

A.    plan difficult operations and to develop programs that will work for doctors and nurses in the same way that flight simulators do

B.    plan difficult operations and develop programs to work for doctors and nurses the same way as with flight simulators

C.    to plan difficult operations and to develop programs that will work for doctors and nurses like flight simulators

D.    plan difficult operations and in developing programs to work for doctors and nurses the same way as flight simulators

E.     to plan difficult operations and developing programs that will work for doctors and nurses like flight simulators do

A是to help surgeons和后面的to develop programs平行,C是to plan和to develop平行。

2,"help"

      help做动词可以用help sb. to do, 也可以省略to.

3,“like”

1 surgeons care not the plan benefiting other doctor but the operation

2 help sth do is prefered

3 to express the word 'similar', 'like' is often followed by a nouns, whereas 'as' is followd by a full sentence.

the word following 'like' is often used to express similarity with the subject of a sentence nearby.

  for example:

  AVB,LIKE C .. A,like B, V C .. LIKE C, AVB,            each C is in accordance with A .

futher more, 'like N' is a adverbial element, and therefore must be isolated with comma

如果用as来改写原句的话,就变成:to develop programs that will work for doctors and nurses as flight simulators will work for pilots
省略之后变成to develop programs that will work for doctors and nurses as flight simulators do for pilots
这里flight simulators和pilots的关系是 A work for B的关系
原句比较的是A work for B,就像C work for D一样 所以不能用like,是拿两句句子在类比,要用as。
而C选项里面就变成了A work for B, 就像C。

Like flight stimulators for pilots, programs will work for doctors and nurses.

Artificial intelligence emerged during the late 1950's as an academic discipline based on the assumption that computers could be programmed to think like people.

这里用了like,把电脑和人做比较,但是句意是电脑可以像人一样思考;

。。虽然我知道in the same way that更好。。。

umm...
the programs will work for doctors and nurses like flight simulators.
computers could be programmed to think like people.

而后面的to develop 对应的是are using computer images to,

computers那句里的people可以和computers直接对换,可以说成:people could be programmed to think.但是第一句就不能这样,不能说flight simulator will work for doctors and nurses.所第二句的like后面需要跟的就是一个词,这符合like的用法,但是第一句后面要跟一句话,即flight simulators will work for pilots.
