A new hair-growth drug is being sold for three times the price, per milligram, as the drug's maker charges for another product with the same active ingredient.

A.as

B.than

C.that

D.of what
E.at which

官方答案是C，但是有个疑问就是that的前面有逗号隔开的话是不是就属于非限制性定于从句，应该用which引导？
难道是插入语带来的逗号可以忽略么？

无论that能不能跳过插入语（实际上，不仅that不能跳过插入语，which都不能，因为会引起歧义，误以为修饰milligram），仅从逻辑意思上来讲，C都是错误的。本题的逻辑意思是两个价格进行比较，而如果使用了that把后面一个句子变成定语从句的话，就没有比较了，后面句子只是前面句子的修饰成分，改变了句子的逻辑意思，大错。

我认为答案是A。《GWD-SC分析汇总》里面认为A错误的原因是没有as...as的结构，但是单独as其实也是可以作为比较的符号的，引起比较的从句的。as后面省略了the price或者what。
另外从逻辑意思上来讲，能够进行两个句子比较的comparison signal，在这里只有as（见Manhattan SC P127)

今天重看Manhattan P234，对名词修饰语可以不接触修饰名词的例外情况作了详细说明，其中第3点是讲这个的
Modifiers: Exceptions to the Touch Rule
In general, noun modifiers must touch their nouns. However, there are a few exceptions to the Touch Rule.
3) A short non-essential phrase intervenes and is set off by commas.
Right: Our system of Presidential elections favors states, such as Delaware, that by population are over-represented in the Electoral College.
The short phrase such as Delaware sneaks between the noun states and its modifier that by population are over-represented in the Electoral College. There is nowhere else logical to put the phrase such as Delaware. Because this phrase is short, its insertion is acceptable.

所以答案应该是that。（汗，看到之前自己振振有词的答复......）

that可以跳过插入语修饰，，其实That和which 都可以不就近修饰，但是一定不能相隔太远

感觉你们讨论的好复杂啊，呵呵，我觉得per milligram 就是插入语，可以做题省略不看，那么就是sth is being sold for three times the price that(which其实可以选which但是选项里没有撒) the drug maker charges( the price ) for another product.不知道你们觉的是这样吗？

不全吧？charge price for...不然the maker是charge什么呢？that也好，which也好，都是做定从的宾语的~
另外我想问下如果这里真的有which，that和which比，谁更好呢？
我个人觉得即使这里出现了which也是不可以选的~Manhattan在讲修饰语的时候也说过修饰成分分为 essential modifier 和non-essential modifier，显然这里后面的定语从句是不可以省的，不然前面的the price就没有意义了~所以应该用that引导的限制性定语从句来修饰，which也是不对的~
