我上边已经说了插入语不可能在句子中作成份的，我认为这两个句子中大家说的插入成份其实是同位语，一个是形容词作同位语，一个是介词短语作同位语。
请看语法书上的介词短语作同位语的例子；Wang Li,just back from the training class,was made director of the Maternity Home.
这里如果当成插入语那么我觉得楼主的问题---”of up ……“是如何修饰information的就很难回答，
我认为更为重要的是介词短语作同位语的使得这个句子的结构异常的清晰，顺畅。当然了我也不是有意和大家唱反调，大家都说是插入语想来也有这样说的道理，敬请楼主及各位方家斧正。
