Thanks. I should not say "typo". It is a wrong wording, wrong usage. Although both have positive meaning, the one I typed had a funny meaning in the short cover letter, which I worte quickly at lunch time and did not give a second glance before I sent out. Sometimes I am just overconfident.
Here is my plan: I will not submit another package. Instead, I will submit another optional material to the committee along with another short letter in which I will rewrite that sentence, demonstrating that I know the correct usage of the word. How does that sound? Gosh, I would have never been worried about such a minor thing if I were applying for a Ph.D in a Science major. |
