So first of all, I think you have many options. It is true that HongKong schools don’t have the prestige that US schools have, but there are schools in HK and in Singapore that could be interesting if you wanted to stay int he region. I also don’t agree that Canada is a bad option. Actually Canada can be a fantastic option for you. Yes, the schools are less prestigious, but if you want to live in Canada, they do make great placements and are easier to get into.
Now it’s hard to say which schools you can and should apply to without real test scores. I can say that Top10 schools will likely be out of range for you even with the best test scores, but that schools in the 10-30 range should be your target. For that to happen a high GMAT of at least 700 (but better 720) will be very helpful!!!
Other than that I DO truly think an MBA can help you reach your goals, and is the perfect degree for what you are looking for.
