Hello there!
So there are many good programs out there with Hotel or Real Estate programs: Columbia, Sloan, Johnson, Marshall, and Wharton all have excellent Real Estate programs (in addition, Cornell has a very famous Hotel School). UNC and McCombs can also be very good “Safe school” options for Real Estate.

I think your plan is good and as you keep moving forward, that your goals seem reasonable (I would stick to Hotel/Real Estate rather than switch to PE).

背景还是挺有意思但我觉得工作经验偏弱是一个短板。如果只申请前16可能会成功，但也可能会失败。我觉得Duke可能会比较喜欢你这样的背景。

Dear Jon,

Thank you for your reply. I have almost a year before the application. I am thinking to move to a pre - opening hotel, part of core team around 5 - 10 people, it will be more involve in recruitment, dealing with owner and marketing etc.. Alternative I may get chance receive a promotiton to department head 20 - 30 employees direct report to me. It's a title upgrade and only focus on operation and general management. What's your recommendation?

Hey there,
Well what do you mean what’s my recommendation? Both choices sounds awesome! Like you’ll be doing a lot more high-level management stuff, which the schools will LOVE!
I would say just choose the one that you know to be the more challenging and prestigious. It’s hard for me to say from here which is better, and honestly, you probably know better than me. But it sounds like either would be great for your application.
