你说错了独立主格是名词或者代词+非谓语动词或者形容词短语介词短语

这个不是独立主格

独立主格有独立的主语和谓语动词（或表语）

这里是with 引导的介词短语作状语，result后that引导了一个同位语

the Official Answer is E now - confirmed by Manhattan GMAT.

C is incorrect; because the stinger itself, an object, cannot lead to any consequence, ONLY an action can cause/lead to/result in any consequence.
