DUKE, 1/4 SCHOLARSHIP V.S UNC, tuition waived

现在进入两难选择, 要是UNC 不给我钱或只给一半钱, 我也就死心拉. 可是, 一想到不用贷款, 毫无压力的学习, 我就流口水啊. DUKE 的确很好啊, 那个美丽的大厅啊. 即使我去了UNC, 以后也要经常去坐坐. 两个学校我都去过, 风格神似.

我想转行业到房地产, 专业为金融. 很想听听各位的意见, 特别是在读学生的意见. 特别是中国学生的就业状况如何啊? 谢谢先.

Duke is better

Never really heard UNC is strong in real estate. If Allanford is interested in real estate, why not try MIT, Columbia, NYU and USC?

MIT，Columbia，NYU，and USC各有一个Real Estate的MS，UNC的是MBA concentration。

my Opinion:  MBA education is a name game. Top 10 grads will definetely have a better career. Think about the salary you can make after graduation from Duke. maybe you can make up 70K in a year or two.

That is the reason why some second-tier schools give out scholarships to attract talented applicants.

as an old chinese saying: Cheap things are not good. period.

Don't be trapped by so-called top 10. Acutually only big three :HBS,Standford and Wharton are indisputable leaders. Of course ,there are deriving ones such as top 5 or magic 7. But do it really make much sense for individuals. It highly depends on yourself. Even graduation from HBS cannot guarantee your success in your career life ,let alone Duke,which has been kicked out of so-called top 10.

Therefore , if you really  want to be a smart MBA and a successful business professional, choose UNC with full tuition waiver for sure.
