why ivey is sliding down?

I want to apply for Ivey. But noticed that its ranking is sliding down in recent years. Anybody know something about it? thanks for your input.

Ivey is a great school.

I think the ranking is caused by its poor job placement record, due to the downturn in job market.

Ivey is more vulnerable to market downturn. While other schools might be more diversified, Ivey is more focus on GM. Finding high level managerial job is extremely difficult in such job market, especially for internation students, which account for a signifcant portion of Ivey's student body.

Despite the ranking, Ivey is still regarded the best MBA program in Canada.

When I asked the similar to an Ivey staff who had an interview with late last month, he told me Ivey admitted some applicants who should not be admitted during the last few years. Unfortunately, many of those kind of students were China-based. These people had very poor communication skill and not welcomed at job market. That's why his school decided to interview every Chinese applicant this year to know more about their communication skill.

If the answer above is true, then IVEY is not responsible for the applicant. What about this year?

If you prefer the ranking, I suggest that you apply for Queen's MBA if you have hi-tech working background or major in Science and Technology.
