Education profession can change the world by definition. US Congress initiated “CIBER” (Center for International Business Education & Research) long ago, and most b-schools run their centers together to constantly improve business education in the States. Education profession can not only help b-schools stretch diversity, but also let schools educate leaders to facilitate the real "world changer" mission, the original calling for b-schools. So no need to force yourself to get into consulting or banking just for higher compensation to please schools. The education field needs real leaders as always.
So the key is why education, why you, especially from a Physics master. Also, you need a “Global Leadership Outlook” to first project a concrete and inspiring way to change the education industry, and then convince b-schools why their education can help you change the world.
HBS loves this kind of “world changer” statements.
Plus, an entrepreneurial lesson, market director experience, and teaching experience in leading education institution can also become a great contribution in business courses.
Meanwhile, floor #14 made a great comment: you should have entered a competitive education institute by your current background, instead of asking b-schools to facilitate this goal for you.
s16 MBA programs are frankly decent choices, given your current hard candidacy. For M7, higher GT and much clearer career goals are needed.
