今天写的独立 350字时间好紧。很难想象写500字的大神如何完成
题目:Do you agree or disagree
teacher should not make their political&social views known to students in the classroom
It's important to help our next generation develop mature and well-build social or political views, because they are what the future country is made of. A discussion is raised however whether teacher should reveal their own social or political views in the class. In my opinion, such views should be kept away from juniors, but are acceptable for seniors who have entered colleges.
First, the ability of independent thinking might be hampered if the teacher just say his opinion directly. Young students are still in the stage of learning to form their own opinion, and they are easily to just take the teachers' word for granted without further thinking, since teachers are one of the most important influence in their life. For instance, my cousin in China tell me that other countries' people are not treating Chinese people well. But she couldn’t put on good reasons for that, and as far as I know, she rarely meet people from other countries. She thinks so simply because the teacher told so. And she did not even think why in this issue.
Second, young people who were told wrong views might grow up and develop an unhealthy views towards the world. After all, there is no guarantee that teachers would not have a healthy views when it comes into social or political issues. Teenagers or child might not have the developed ability to judge right from wrong. I remember when I was in my middle school, my political teacher always come into radical opinions about Japan because of the history. Some of my classmates really believe that and they grow up simply hate the country.
However, for university students, who are mostly adults, they are expected to have the full judgement ability and mature thoughts. I think it's ok to let them know what opinions the teachers are holding on social or political issues.
In conclusion, I think it's improper to just release the teachers' views directly to junior students. Teachers should guide them to think, encourage them to have their own thoughts instead just tell them what he is thinking.
