题目是Universities should require every student to take a variety of courses outside the student's field of study.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim. In developing and supporting your position, be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position.

第一次限时写。。。求教一下第五段前面那个indeed用的合适么?我感觉不对劲但是想不到更好的词。。。

我写的:
When it comes to how universities arrange the curriculum of students, although someone claims that students should focus on their study and try to make an achievement, I am in favor of the idea that students ought to take courses outside their field of study. Actually, I am concerned that having a wide range of knowledge in different fields is necessary for people to success in their own fields.
Despite the exact and specific identification of various subjects’ people taken as a major nowadays, no one can deny the importance to learn some basic subjects, even some of them like literary and morality seem to have nothing to do with most students' major. Take morality as an example, although it seems to have no relationship with math or chemistry, it is not enough to observe things superficially and nearly every university emphasizes the significance of morality in daily teaching for the reason that someone lacks the fundamental principle of morality will definitely results in failure at last, whatever his field is. Thus, basic subjects outside of students' studying field are supposed to be required, because it is the premise of a person to achieve anything in any field.
Except the basic subjects, knowledge outside one’s major may perhaps have the ability to inspire a person or release his working tension in study field. The Noble Prize winner John Nash, a mathematic scholar in university, raised his world-famous Game Theory by inspiration from economy and sociality, and come up with the idea of Nash Equilibrium from situations in monopoly, which is an issue in economical study field. As to the ability to release people, we are all aware of the popular consultant detective Sherlock Holmes prefer to play violin when he is stuck, but few of us get to know that Einstein, one of the greatest  physicists in 20th century, also loved to play violin when met obstacles in study.
Take a further look at the situation in today's science circles, one form of study in getting more and more popular--the cross-field study. For example, the hottest major in financial study is Financial Engineering, which uses the methods in engineering in finance study, and has solved a multitude number of difficult problems in financial field. That is to say, limited in only one field is no longer sufficient to make it work, and studying in another field may offer people new ways to solve problems used to be hard.
Indeed, it is crucial to learn subjects in other fields, while universities should not put too much pressure on students because of the limitation in people's energy. One person could only take courses in two or three fields at the same time, a few people could learn more, but there is always a upper limit.
To conclude, the requirement of learning things from other fields is necessary because students may get opportunity to be inspired and release themselves in the process of gaining knowledge of other fields, and sometimes knowledge from other fields is necessary to success.
