The speaker would prefer to assert that the leaders should do some decisions only with their own opinions. To agree or disagree with it is a matter of balancing with its internal factors and external factors. In my point of view, this extreme position misses the point entirely. I agree insofar as the national development is judged by the government officials. At the same time, however, the populace are the most beneficial groups, thus the citizens in the country also take significant roles in judging the nation further as they see fit; otherwise, judgment might erode its own purpose in the long term.
Admittedly, when there are some great decisions related to the city or even the whole country, the leader is the best person to make quickly response. To be fair, one reason for my fundamental agreement with the speaker is that the government officials really have high education and broad horizon among all the populace. By providing the times survey, almost 75.3%of the leaders who are in power today have postgraduate degrees. In addition, the leaders can handle the fortune of the country as accurately as possible because they always study how to make the populace welfares in their lives, such as Roosevelt‘s “New ideal” and so forth. Thus, I think this view is realistic.
Despite the positive aspects of the leading judgment discussed above, only judged by officials are supposed to be posed some certain risks which might outweigh the benefits. The common people are the major groups in the country. Every programs always link to them. While such cases are rare, they do occur occasionally. For example, if the government leaders only allege their judgments, it is harmful to the nationwide for further development. Therefore, judgment by the populace are one of the wise decisions.
Aside from the forgoing one proviso, moreover, another purposes why I essentially disagreement with the speaker is that the opinions from the leaders and the populacewill provide many opportunities to sustain the nation survival. Either of them has its own advantages that one can not instead the other. In the ream of political, only by the leader’s judgment can not meet all the residents satisfied. To the adverse, if only sentenced by common populace, the judgment may not benefit for the national sustentation.
To sum up, considering the critical thinking abilities of leadership and the positive effect of the populace , the speaker have overstated the leadership of the judgment. Personally speaking, it is recommend to analysis this issue through a case by case method. For some aspects, such as related to the whole nation diplomacy , the leaders would rely on their own judgment. For interest of the public, the leaders would give ways to the populace. In other words, there would be possible for a society to take the public opinion into account.
