My recommendor asks me what this question is asking about?

"Provide an example of constructive feedback you have provided to the applicant. How did the applicant receive this feedback and what efforts did the applicant make to address the concern?"

What does "how did the application receive..." mean?

How did you take it? Did you flip out on the spot or did you sit down and listen carefully w/ a humble attitude? The answer is obvious ....

Hey there—careful with your reading my friend! The question asks how the APPLICANT received the criticism, not the application. So once you screwed something up, and once your boss told you about it, what did you do NEXT? That’s what we wanna know. Describe a time you screwed up at something, and your boss pulled you aside and said “Hey man you aren’t doing well. Next time, do AA, BB, and CC.” The question is, were you eventually able to do AA, BB, and CC? That is, did you do what he told you? That’s all they mean, how did you respond, once you received this feedback and criticism. Hope this helps, and good luck!
