Should school children be limited on thehours of watching tv program and movie?(428限时未完成)
It is said that school children should belimited in the hours of watching TV for it will bring some negative effects onthem. As far as I’m concerned, I totally agree to this statement for thefollowing reasons.
The main reason for my propensity to thisargument is that school children do not have the ability to manage their time,if we do not control the time they watching TV, they may easily addicted to theTV program and ignore the task of studying, which must do harm to their grades.Moreover, for watching TV occupy them a lot of free time in home, they may havenot time to play with other students and eventually lead them become indifferentto communicate with others. Take my cousin into an example, she was a cleargirl when she was very young, yet when she went to the primary school, she waspond of watching TV at home and without her parents’ control, her grade droppedvery quickly at that time, on the other hand, she started to enclose herself ina space and do not want to say a more word to us. Eventually, her parents hadto send her to a special school to supervise her behaviors every day.
Another reason I do not support the childrento watch TV without any control comes from the worry about the qualities uponTV programs. As we all know that the TV companies often use some violence andsex subjects to attract the rate of watching, whereas they do not care aboutthe influences it have on children. For children are too young to tell which isgood or bad clearly and good at imitating, they may become violent to thepeople around them and at last do unharmonious activities to society when theygrow up. And official figures shows that the rate of crime rate in young peoplehave more than tripled since the year 2000.
But all the above doesn’t mean that wecould reject the advantages of watching TV program by children in a limitedtime. Some programs talk about the original science or teaching some artclasses definitely help the school children to know more about knowledge from differentmeans and give them the opportunity to have a wide horizon.
To sum up, given reasons discussed above,we could safely reach the conclusion that children should be limited the timeon watching TV. And I promise if we could use TV as a positive way, it willhelp school children much more than we expected.
