ACCA affiliate (还有一年工作经验就qualify了)+ top score winner of paper F9 and P7 + top 20 affiliate CFA level 3 candidate 楼主正在努力自学数学,从single variable calculus 开始。 。。 -- by 会员 december0413 (2011/8/1 11:30:52)
I don't think traders need a strong quant skill... Quant skill is for quant team, IT or R&D... -- by 会员 gmatfucker (2011/8/1 12:49:52)
thanks for this, i know a strong quant skill is not required. But the problem is very few reputational Universities have MSF programs (MIT or Princeton is just impossible for me). Therefore, MFE seems to be the only feasible way here. Maybe i should try some MBA programs with a focusing on finance? -- by 会员 december0413 (2011/8/1 13:20:53)
Think further about what you want and what kind of career you want to pursue. You are luckier than me because of your working experience. MBA is more approachable to you because there are much more nice MBA programs than MSF programs. Well I don't know why you want to be a trader. Trading has nothing related to accounting. Trading needs talent, whereas IBD, closer to accounting, needs nothing specific but energy. Whatever, do what you like. -- by 会员 gmatfucker (2011/8/1 16:01:03)
Well, i don't think the relevance between the two fields matters in choosing a future career, i think interests matters more. However this is only my own stupid opinion, i will seriously reconsider the suggestions provided by you guys. Because now i realised that i was over-optimistic about the situation.
btw, i think the big4 w/e adds little value in the application................... |
