B 和 E 的which 指代都没有问题。问题在于 B 中的 in the country 和 E 中的 the country's 在句子意思上有微妙的差别，忠于原意，应选E。

In my opinion, answer is E.

E is looking little awkward, but simplified form looks more convincing.

which指代是正确或者错误问题--大。所有格是倾向性问题。
