12个月的program要有six courses & a research project of publishable quality, mgnt里边ib、strategy之类的要做survey 的话仅仅是data collection很可能就要半年以上。不过这个 publishable quality有意思，似乎资源很丰富。 ybeybe方便透露下你的background和申请结果吗？看来我们的方向比较近 -- by 会员 woodenarrow (2011/4/17 16:19:14)
我是欧洲金融本科，gpa 4/5, gre 1440+3.5, research experience 只有Bachelor thesis. 我就申了三所学校哈，ubc finance和queens finance都拒了，都是research program.我觉得申请这种research program最重要的是gpa和研究经历。陶瓷也是要的。因为queens据信里面说，admission based on academic performance and research interests. interests和教授想要的吻合才好。 我现在在等ubc mmor呢，面试了下周出结果。 那个publishable quality不是说一定会发表，而是说thesis要是那种模仿top journal的水平。当然我们学生很难真的到那个水平，只是要写得规范，并且有一定新的东西。我现在的学校master thesis也是半年差不多的。做survey的不多，都是database里面找数据。所以说做corporate finance方向的话，数据没有做market方向的好找。。。 -- by 会员 ybeybe (2011/4/17 16:31:55)

其实很多时候prof手上会有很多数据。我看了下queen's这个program学生的placement，还是很attractive的 |
