一直觉得TOFEL作文没有GMAT好写……Why people attend college?
People attend college or university for many differentreasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increasedknowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specificreasons and examples to support your answer.

People who chooseto go to college instead of straightly go to work after graduated from highschool have several reasons for their choice. For example, some of them attendcollege out of the willing to acquire knowledge or improve the ability to learnnew things, others may attend college for the opportunity to get a better job.There are also some of them who goes to college to know more people, collectconnections. There is also a simple reason for them (to attend college): to bea better person.
First of all, mostpeople attend college to learn. The defination for learn could be both learningknowledge and learn the method of how to learn. Most people have the naturalcuriosity, see this is why human being has evolved from gorilla. What’s more,before college, it’s is unlikely for people to have a comprehensive knowledgesystem. Consequently, people attend college to learn.
Secondly, peopleattend college to get a better job. With the incresing pressure from societyand competitors, people attend college to delevop their ability and to be morecompetitive. Under nowadays’ circumstance, HRs firstly judge a person by his orher education level, which made high school graduates apparently at a disadvantage. As a result,people attend college to get a better job.
Thirdly, it issaid that education makes a person easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easyto govern but impossible to slave. People also have the willing to be unique andprofound,to be capable ofanalyse what is going on. To achieve the former goal, they choose to receivehigher education, in other words, they attend college to be a better person.
Human behavior isnot only delicated but also complicated. What I’ve explained is just a smallpart of reason why people attend college, there might be other opinions waitingto be mined.
