Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Newspaper is the best way of learning about a foreign country.

Recently, a discussion about what is the best way of learning about a foreign country has been a heated topic and different people may have distinct opinions according to their backgrounds, emotions and backgrounds. Contract with the opinion of some people is my heartfelt objection to the idea that newspaper is the best way to be acquainted with other countries, when some other more effective channels are taken into account.

To begin with, I concede that newspapers are useful ways to learn about a foreign country. Newspapers provide new stories happened in a foreign recently, and through the opinions of various writers we could understand the cause of the events since there may cover analysis of several professionals. Also, in the newspapers there are plenty of topics and information concerning foreign country, such as economy, cultures, techniques, customs and so forth, so that people could select the favorite field to read.

However, significant though the advantages of newspapers are, it can not compete with the impacts of other Medias and ways bring about. As social develops, the effectivity of the news media is also improved and newspaper is no longer the only channel people get information regarding foreign from. For instance, people could watch live news in time by television which could vividly reflects the situation of a foreign country, and watching foreign movies could be more helpful to understand the way of foreigner’s thinking and even their cultures.

In addition, having a travel to foreign countries is a remarkable way to learning concerning a foreign country. Just as the old saying goes “Seeing is believing.”, one can not have a real feeling about a country until he or she experiences it in person. Words on newspapers commonly reflect parts of an issue about one country, perhaps concealing some parts of pictures or opinions, probably because of political problem, interference or purpose. Therefore, if one really wants better to know about a foreign country, it is suggested for him or her to pay a visit or live there for a period of time.

All in all, in accordance with what has been discussed above we can safely draw the conclusion that, newspapers is just one but not the best channel, and in order for more and better learning about a foreign country, watching television and visiting a country are energetically recommended.
