【职业规划求助】请问无工作经验对PHD申请的影响有多大？

小女子烂背景：无名重点本科，专业光信息，GPA3.6。现为University of Florida(only top 50)的master学生，专业Electrical engineering，GPA3.8/4.0。今年暑假开始master of management的双硕士课程学习。有点自虐地希望能在明年5月两个专业同时毕业。尚未考GMAT。想读marketing 或management的PHD。

我这样的情况能申请到美国大概哪个level的PHD？还是无任何工作经验是否就不要想太多PHD的事了？
我们学校有个学长，基本情况和我差不多吧（除了他的GPA我不了解），GMAT考了居高780，申请美国和UF差不多level的PHD，结果全都被拒了。最后还好在上Management的时候有个教授对他印象不错，让他继续在UF就读accounting 的PHD。

我觉得要是比自己学校还差的话那就有点不想读PHD了。。

In most cases, people move down when they move from MS programs to PhD programs, unless they get some really good experience (research paper, connection in the academic community etc)

考虑到学术实力，比UFL低MKT PhD项目还是可以接受的，尤其cb方向。
i feel relevant research experience is way more important than work experience

oh, really?

but maybe phd is the only way to be a professor in university. if i choose theoretical research, i still need to apply for the phd.

考虑到学术实力，比UFL低MKT PhD项目还是可以接受的，尤其cb方向。

UFL Marketing非常强的，不过客观地讲，以你现在这个背景，UFL的Marketing想申到还是非常难的
除非你能在研究上有显著的加强

支持jangle大哥的观点。GPA及排名和paper如果不能有很大突破的话，UFL很难，不过LZ本身是UFL的master，或许有些潜在的优势。但以lZ的背景或许更适合做modeling，那选校的角度就不同了。

I know it is not easy for me to apply for the UF PHD program because it is really great. I just do not want to stay in onel place for 7 years.
