It was yesterday evening when a news on the internet, 'The worst scientific research job in the world’, caught my attention. Can you imagine what it is? In order to find out the relationship between human beings gastrointestinal disease and the smell of their fart, some scientists have to smell fart everyday. This is never as ridiculous as ir sounds like. Those Scientists really have a hard work. However, what makes them to take this job? I am afraid no one would say they just work for money, for they can easily find a better job with their ability. Therefore, something, maybe a sense of accomplishment or a mind to contribute to society, rather than money determind themselves to continue their research.

If you have ever known something like this, you would never say people work just because they need money for ro live.

Besides, lots of people do their jobs just to make yo their dreams. Some composers, players, and painters sometime they can not even afford the cost of their family or even themselves by doing their job. But they are still persist on. Why? Just imagine the old painter in the story 'The last leaf', he was in such a condition, but when he finished his last but greatest work and saved young Johnsy's life, and reach his dream, how wonderful he felt. Nowadays many young artists live in the same way as O Henry's story writes, they live together in art village and work for their dreams, live a life belong to them.

From what has been discussed above we can see some people work for achieving a sense of accomplishment, some work for contributing to society, some work for reaching their dreams, and so forth. So we can say people work for many diffetent reasons except money.
