Congratulations! I got my MBA there. The facility is good. Some of the professors are good. Chinese MBA students have to try very hard to land a job in the US. I think it is not uncommon for b-schools professors to recruit PhD graduates from where he/she got his/her PhDs, which are usually different from his/her current schools. This gives an edge to those traditional PhD programs which have a lot of graduates and a good track record. Normally a PhD graduate with US citizenship is far more likely to get a job offer from top-business schools than a Chinese PhD graduate. If you want to get an academic position in the US, it would be better to check the placement records of the program. If you would like to be a professor in China, I think a GT  hD is as good as any other. But keep in mind what you can do in China within fives years instead of getting a PhD in the US. One thing is for sure, you most probably will not get rich with your PhD and you don't need a PhD just to get a good life. Good luck! |
