Dis/agree that the government should focus more on the preservation of natural environment than on  the economic development .

As economy develops , the world have seen a severe change in the natural environment .  It is not a new question that whether the government should focus more on the preservation of natural environment or on the economic development . As for me ,  I strongly support that the government should focus on the economic development , and I ‘ll give several reasons to illustrate my point of view.

To begin with , economic development will provide enough money for the preservatin of natural environment . Some people live in the illusion that if government focus more on the natural preservation , the world will  be a  better place to live . But what happens for real is that  the government never lack ideas or plans to preserve the natural environment , but it always finds itself in the delema that there’s not enough money to carry out these plans . Virtually ,  it is commonsense that economy is the foundation of a country , and  it provides the money for all social activities including the natural preservation . So with the government focusing more on the economic development , there will be enough money to preserve the nature.

What's more , as economy develops , people’s awareness of natural preservation will also increase . That is , the government will no longer fight with the environment problems alone . The tree planting day in china is a good case in point . in old days with a low speed of  economic development , people all concern their own business . However , as the government focused  more and more on the economic development , people began to protect the natural environment spontaneously , and that eventually resulted in the establishment of the tree planting day . On that day, people will go outside with young trees and plant them on mountains or gardens . It is no doubt a symbol that people’s awareness of natural preservation increases .

Admittedlly , if the government focus more on the natural preservation , it will win the current government much support from people . However , it will finally find that the economic development is more essential and the natural preservation will be more practical with the economic development .

To sum up , if the government focus more on the economic development , it will get enough money for the natural preservation and people’s awareness of natural preservation will definitely increase . So , the governent should focus more on the economic development .
