we are on the same boat. I am applying for Hbs and wharton. and I am 34 now, earning USD200k+, but Harvard and wharton is a dream to me for 15 years. the 2 year will cost me over half million, but I feel it worth the price to me. I ll think like this. if they admit me, I would be happy to pursue my dream, live a totally different life. if they don't want me, then I ll keep my current life style, maybe work another boring 20 years and save a few million dollars and retire rich but it will be a shame that .

LZ肯定应该考虑EMBA的, 其实很多EMBA的项目很不错, 而且以你的情况可以让公司出钱的可能很大

1.香港科技大学和KELLOG的EMBA

2. INSEAD和清华办的EMBA

3. 芝加哥在新加坡有EMBA课程

此外, 还有一种叫GLOBAL MBA,就是在世界几个城市进行上课的那种. 比如Michigan, Duke都有, 这些也都是顶尖名校

以这样的背景去读MBA, 不是很适合

未必，去年跟我商量怎么过tsinghua面试的几个大哥让我分析他们的简历，其中一个是个副总裁35岁，说没想通为什么前年面了205的低分，我看了看，告诉他把业绩再减少一点，在职位重要性说低一点，肯定过了。结果去年他就245分过了；另外一个36岁，上市公司母公司的当过财务总监，我让他淡化上市公司财务总监职务，强调更长时间的更低半级的主体职务；另外一个每年分红特别高的，我叫他把薪水扣掉60%填上去。他们三个都按我说的做了，三个都是面试高分。。。。。。。

和他们三个类似条件的其他人，很大一部分被劝其“我们这里有一个很好的EMBA项目，我们觉得会更适合你，读MBA太委屈您了，您应该尝试更大的投资。”
