[面试经验] Yale Alumni Interview (2007.11.30)

After Wharton hub interview, I went to Kangnam Subway Station (Seoul) for Yale alumni interview.

I scheduled these two interviews in the same day so that I can save one annual leave. ^_^

Interviewed at Starbuck near the station. I paid for the coffee (interviewer wanted to pay, but I insisted). Interviewer is an American guy, who graduated from Yale last year.

It was not really an interview, just a chat. More converstional than I expected.

He didn't even keep note. He showed me the Yale interview form, which doesn't ask for any detailed information about the interview. Instead, the Yale interview form asks questions like: did this interviewee perform well in the interview? (I didn't see the whole form, but my guess is Yale is trying to ask its alumni to evaluate your "fit" with this program and your English skills).

Questions are pretty standard: walk through resume, why MBA, why Yale, like current job or not, any difficulty in current job. That's it! No leadership experience, no weakness and strength. The rest of the interview was just chat chat and chat~  I asked him a lot of questions about his job, why he studied Korean (instead of Chinese) in school, and how was his study trip to Shanghai......

We chatted for about an hour, and said goodbye~  He said if I am admitted by Yale, he will treat me a dinner to celebrate.

This is the most relaxing interview I have ever had~
