Kellogg 加急申请，麻烦大家给点意见，多谢了

Kellogg is one of very few business schools strictly requiring Toefl score, unless you have an undergraduate degree taught exclusively in English. Your postgraduate education is not relevant to warrant you a waiver. I called the adcom and verified this piece of infor. Jan 12th Toefl is in fact a bit late to catch up with Kellogg Round 2 deadline. You may want to check with Adcom if they can process your application first without your Toefl score.

Since you are a recent graduate, I don't think it is a bad idea to ask for a reference letter from your Ph.D research supervisor. But you have to make sure he can really evaluate you from a unique perspective to complement with other reference letters rather than a superficial academic assessment. Your research project performance (outstanding publications), personality (entrepreneur-oriented and ambitious female), career goals, university entrepreneurial activities, your attitude, approach and efforts you put in during these involvements are all good aspects worthwhile of mentioning. To do that, he has to comment as more than just an academic professor, but also as a friend and a life-long mentor...

推荐信不要叫教授写，也不要写你的academic方面的成就，这个不是我的建议，而是商学院的建议。上次MIT的info session上，adcom的JJ也明确强调了。推荐信可以写你没有机会展现的东西，就是说，除了你application form里，essay里，简历里没有提到的故事什么的，可以写推荐信里。否则太浪费了。

至于发表文章，获得什么奖励，application form里基本都可以填。

但是Kellogg的表格极度恶心，award只能填4行，你如果有很牛很牛的很多成就的话，还是做好割肉的准备。顺便再次BS一下Kellogg的Part 1表格。

关于推荐信：

我在Kellogg Info Session问过Adcom，她说除非你的Prof.能对你的career performance有很深入的了解，否则不应讲Prof.写。

你去把K的RL form down下来看看，选择那些你觉得最能回答那些问题的人做recommender就好。：）
