It is every one's dream that one can further their study in a famous university. However, in my country, China, it is impossible for every one to study in a university, not to mention a famous one. To a country, education especially advanced education is key to improve the economic level of the entire nation. Therefore, the government should take some steps to allow more students to receive the advanced education rather than only make it available for good students.
A famous university is always on the behalf of the reputation of one country. At the same time, the amount of students with the bachelor degree or master or PhD, equally have a considerable impact on the nation. In regards to this, it is wise to expand the number enrolled in the university, not only for improving the education level but also for enhancing the development of economy. The example of China just illustrates this point. Since 1998, the government decided that every university should give more students admissions and let more students have the chance to go into the grand towers of ivory in their hearts. The facts just indicate that such a decision is sound. From then on, every year there are many excellent graduates working on different businesses and all companies do not bother with the problems of scarcity of employees any longer. In the meantime, the economy of China has grown dramatically since every company can absorb more skilled people.
On the other hand, if some students can not further study in a university, they would be easy to work on some illegal occupations, or attain some bad habits. As a student graduated from high school, they hardly earn money by themselves in that they are not mature enough and also have no some skills. If they can not go to a university, various temptations such as internet bar, pubs ,even drugs in the society make them addicted. Consequently, the ration of crimes gradually increases, which is harmful to the development of a society. Thus, it is necessary for students to go to a university to absorb more knowledge.
In fact, teenagers graduated from high schools do not shape their personal value and also have no definite direction of their future. Hence, universities have responsibilities to give them advanced education and guide them to gradually step into the society. At the mean time, whether out of the interests of the country or of the students, it is reasonable for government to permit more students to study in a university. |
