                    Topic: Do you agree or disagree that teachers should assign homework every day?

      The most important responsibility of teachers is to assign homework. In most cases, teacher does it every day to improve students' study. In real cases, however, assigning homework every day is not good for both students and teachers. It's better for teachers to assign homework every week or even longer（in longer intervals）.

       First of all, giving assignment every day means teachers must think about the topic of assignment every day. And it also means teachers must check assignment every day. Teachers would spend a lot of valuable time on that. We assume two teachers. One assigns and checks homework every day. It causes that each day he has no time to think about other advanced issues. Another teacher assigns homework every week. On most days, he can spend their time on other business like try to develop the teaching methods to make his class funnier. And only on that assignment day, he would spend a lot of time to think about the topic of assignment. Obviously, the latter one is more considerate and welcomed by students.

       Moreover, if teachers offer longer interval for assignments, they can adjust their assignments according to the course. Teachers usually assign homework about the content they taught that day. But How can they connect with the following courses? Assigning homework with day break can solve such problems easily.

       The most significant sense of avoiding such conduct is to help students improve their ability of self-control and time arrangement. When a student gets an assignment for one week, he would make a decision first - how to arrange it. He may decide to finish it as soon as possible. Or he would choose that only complete a part of it every day. It's a kind of personal management that arranges time based on real situation. At the same time, the students who usually can't control themselves would find it impossible to complete in the last day. Actually, some people's reason for placing homework every day is just to avoid such cases. But even you can avoid them to do that in school period, which is the best time for individual to correct their disadvantage, who can help them after graduating? Companies won't assign task every day.

       From the reasons discussed above, it is pretty clear that I disagree with the statement that teacher should assign homework every day. As far as I am concerned, assigning homework in longer intervals would reduce teachers’ burden and give them chance to assign in a more flexible way. Crucially, it would help students to build their own self-control and time arrangement skills.
