From what I saw, many people DID boast a lot since it is hard for US schools or companies to check the real situation overseas... Just checking resumes, you can see this issue [of course, many hide resume for sure... :-), but you can still find in some places ] Many had boasted to be CxO, or senior executive, Partner, or General Manager [I agree some are very strong when he/she is young, but if you see many, do you still believe it... :-) ]. In some sense, Americans like to believe more than doubt... But your working experience is in US, if you boast, it will involve lots of risk since there are many background checking agencies out there...
Most of the guys here are boasting, me too. I can not believe those guys have made so many great achievements within 2-5 years. I saw one girl posted a thread in working abroad and boastes she had been assisting the CEO in setting up a joint venture only half year after graduation from university.
