What round did you submit your application? Why do you think you have done with it? Guess it should have just started processing of the 2nd round applocation.

Davidli8888, the 2nd round with deadline on 30 Nov.

Probably you're right.  I let it be lah.

As long as I can get one admission from the 3 schools which have given me the chance of interview, that's fine.  I don't care Tuck or whatever though I wish I could get in it.

As for the 2nd round, at least 2 have posted the phone interview experience here. One is me, the other is 盐水毛豆. Neither of us feels good on the interview...

问一下enerif的背景是啥?

Can  I ask a curious question?

Why so many buddies here are intereseted to ask to share "background"?

I've been on this forum for a while and I've seen quite a number of background shareing requests and answers.

I have a feeling the "background" generally includes G and T scores, GPA, industry line, number of years of professional engagement, etc  - very very basic informaiton.

I just wonder what implications such basic information can have on the applications of those who wish to know others' background?

To inject confidence in oneself.

"oh, yeah ! I have better G score, more years of W/E, I can also get this school's offer! "

Oh, I see.  Interesting.  Seems it's to seek the feeling of being better...

It reminds me of the university recruitment policy in China.  They set the test result as the only standard.  So those being better go to heaven and those being less better go to hell.  It's fair or not fair.  Hard to say...

Well, the reality is US business schools do not carry out test-score-only-standard policies all the time though they set the test results as one form of standard.  This explains why there are some complaints why that less better guy has got the admission, while me, so excellency, my G, my T, my GPA, my...., haven't, etc.....

Anyway, having the feeling of being better can make happy.  Everyone has the freedom to seek happiness...hehe........

Hehe, make sense. In order to create happiness, share my bg here: G750+, TiBT102, 3.4GPA in a TOP U in China, 4.5 years HR in a highly domestic  company of China without any overseas experience
