The first questionable assumption in this argument is that the firm will be more profit simply because its efficient rises. We have to notice that not only the may increased revenues from increased efficient, but also the cost and expense are key factors in determining a firm’s profit performance. What if, the cost of production raises together with the maximized the productivity? The assumption will be a sound one only when all the other factors keep constant while the increased efficiency promotes the employee’s productivity. However, we can not see other factors, such the costs of the firm, are constant as the proposition implement. In fact, the cost of business running is seriously increased, because the most powerful and advanced information technology is usually very expensive too.
Another questionable in this argument is the most powerful and advanced information technology will certainly result in maximized employee productivity. Generally it is true that the improved information technology will improve the efficiency of employees, but a company should always the most suitable one, rather than the most advanced one. The more advance the information technology is, the more time the employees will take for training and getting used of it. If it takes an employee 3 months or even more to learning a new information technology, will the production efficiency improved also? |
