当b-school的MBA面试中，面试官说international student就业形势非常严峻，问我们的backup plan的时候，他比较希望听到的是什么呢？hope大家各抒己见。

I guess, many applicants will not limit their short term career goal geographically.

我也是这样想的，我的回答是我会努力follow my career goal, no matter in the U.S., or coming back to China. 但是我不确定这样回答是不是会让学校招生的人觉得我不够determined/passionate for pursuing an MBA degree in the U.S. and afterwards making contribution there?

PS, actually, the interviewer first asked me what sources do i have about the job market for MBA graduates in the U.S., and then she described me how one of her favourite students coming from BJ is having trouble finding a job there now. Her point is to be realistic that sometimes we need to compromise our career goals to find a job if wanna stay in the U.S. upon graduation.

I do not think an MBA must make contribution to his/her school IN THE USA.

There is no such limitation.

BTW, what about other questions? What is the school? Can you provide more information? I never met an interviewer from a school talking about international students' job situation. Very curious.

This is WUSTL-Olin's interview in BJ last Saturday with a member of the AD committee here representing the school during the World MBA Tour.

The whole interview lasted about 80 minutes. The interviewer first shared with me her background information and other questions include,

- Describe yourself.

- Why now? (did not ask why Olin)

- Career goal.

- 3 characters that you believe important for achieving your career goal.

- Give examples to support your above-mentioned characters.

- Describe your career progression. Previous and current job responsibilities.

- Describe the nature of your current industry and employer.

Also, some other questions about my education background and questions from my resume.

The Called Olin interview took all the attention of that admission officer that there is no room and time for prospective students to ask. MBA TOUR or applicant Tour?
