The answer is C, but I think it should be A. Is this answer ‘C’ incorrect?

The answer is A. But I choose C.我觉得C更能从文中直接得出，而A 选项则要延伸下去才能得出，似乎不符合Toefl的解题思路。对答案的正确性存疑。
