For your reference, got from my school NTU. No much difference in my eyes. But bear in mind, job market for business students is higly related to local economics, while singapore is really unstable. School brand (including alumni networks, school career service etc) might help u during the downturn. Fresh NBS Graduates Are Top Earners
Nanyang Business School’s Accountancy and Business graduates are once again among the top earners in the latest Graduate Employment Survey. According to the survey, the top 20% of the Class of 2005 earn an average of $3,050. This is significantly higher than the average salary of $2,600 achieved by students from other disciplines. The other piece of good news – almost all Accountancy and Business graduates were offered jobs within four months of graduation. Half of them received job offers even before their final examinations, with three in five drawing more than one offer. Assoc Prof Choo Teck Min, Vice-Dean (Accountancy), said, “We ensure that our curriculum keep pace with industry developments and stay relevant. Employers recognise that our Accountancy programme is the best in the region.” Added Assoc Prof Christina Soh, Vice-Dean (Business), “Our internships, applied research projects and career services have prepared our students well for the marketplace. We are particularly delighted that that edge is reflected in our top Accountancy and Business graduates having the highest salaries among the local universities.” The findings are based on the responses from 3,173 NTU graduates, which are 78 per cent of its cohort of 4,048, from its 10 courses in business, accountancy, engineering and communications. Nanyang Business School has consistently been ranked among the top 3 business schools in the Asia-Pacific. It is the only Singapore business school to be accredited by both Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business or AACSB International and EQUIS. It is one of only 5 b-schools in the world outside US with AACSB accreditation in Accounting. | NTU | NUS | SMU | No. of graduates | 4,048 | 4,405 | 337 | Response Rate | 78% | 69% | 85% | Employment Rate | 95% | 94% | 100% | Average Starting Monthly Salary | $2,600 | $2,500 | $2,500 | Average Starting Monthly Salary (Business Grads) | $3,050 (top 20%) | $2,550 (without honours) $2,900 (with honours) | $2,600 (average for business students) $3,000 (those with good distinctions) |
