Big 4 are not bad places to get basic training in accounting, tax, communication, and in my view, they may also be one of the best places to get training in documentation, filing and teamwork for people with not so much work experiences.
The major part of big 4 is audit service. But there're also corp. finance, tax/legal advisory service, transaction services, risk management.....
For people with no previous experience in CPA field, law firm, banking or government experiences, normally it's difficult to join a big 4 as a senior. But it'll not be difficult to apply for a junior position (if you like and can stand with the pay cut) as long as you have good command of English and communication skills.
The above are just my observation of big 4. Whether it's a good decision for you to transfer from marketing to a big 4 may depend on your own situation and future planning. |
